One Day

“Twenty years. Two people.”

Emma Morley (Anne Hathaway) spends the night before graduation with Dexter Mayhew (Jim Sturgess), and in the morning they part as friends. Lone Scherfig then returns to the same date every year, checking where each of them has ended up, sometimes side by side and sometimes apart. Through all of it the date stays fixed, the one day of each year the film keeps coming back to.
