One False Move

“There was no crime in Star City, Arkansas. No murder. And no fear. Until now.”

Dale "Hurricane" Dixon (Bill Paxton) is the police chief of a small Arkansas town, a man who has wanted a real case for years. Then the LAPD calls to say three fugitives, Fantasia (Cynda Williams), Ray Malcolm (Billy Bob Thornton) and Pluto (Michael Beach), are heading his way. Carl Franklin gives the story room to breathe, working it out through the slow drive from Los Angeles to Houston and on into the quiet of a town where everyone knows everyone.
