One Man and his Cow

Fatah Ballabes (Fatsah Bouyahmed) is an Algerian farmer who has dreamed his whole life of the Paris International Agriculture Fair, and the invitation to bring his cow Jacqueline finally arrives. Naïma (Hajar Masdouki), his wife, and the neighbors in the village send him off, though the trip to Paris has to start with the man and the cow on foot. Mohamed Hamidi films him with a plain, friendly eye and lets the people Fatah meets along the way do most of the talking.
