Jim "Lucky" Moore (Allan Jones) sells insurance, and his newest idea is a policy for his friend Steve (Robert Cummings): $1 million, payable if Steve fails to marry his fiancée Cynthia (Nancy Kelly). A. Edward Sutherland directs a Jerome Kern score and the film debut of Abbott and Costello, the nightclub owner's enforcers. With Steve's ex-girlfriend and a disapproving aunt both in the picture, Jim has staked his name on a wedding he has no way of controlling.
