One Night Stand

“Sometimes an entire life can change in just one night.”

Max Carlyle (Wesley Snipes) directs commercials in Los Angeles and goes home each night to his wife Mimi (Ming-Na Wen) and their two children, a life he has no wish to leave. He flies to New York to see his friend Charlie (Robert Downey Jr.), who has been diagnosed with AIDS, and keeps crossing paths with Karen (Nastassja Kinski). Mike Figgis follows Max back to Los Angeles, where the family dinners go on as before.
