One of Them Days

“Two broke friends, one desperate plan.”

Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are roommates with one day left to come up with the rent, which Alyssa's boyfriend Keshawn (Joshua David Neal) has already spent. They have to find the money before the eviction lands, and they go to some strange lengths to do it. Lawrence Lamont, making his feature debut, keeps the pace quick and the two leads close, so the friendship stays in every frame.
