Operation Petticoat

“20,000 laughs under the sea!”

Lieutenant Commander Matt Sherman (Cary Grant) is trying to get a battered submarine back into the fight when a scheming young officer, Nicholas Holden (Tony Curtis), turns up with a talent for trading and borrowing whatever the crew lacks. Then a group of army nurses is added to the passengers. Blake Edwards shoots it in warm Eastmancolor, and the whole cramped boat glows a bright, improbable pink.
