Orfeu

Orfeu (Toni Garrido), the best-known composer at his samba school, is rehearsing for Carnival in a Rio favela when Eurídice (Patrícia França), a newcomer to the neighborhood, walks into his life. He falls hard and fast, while Lucinho (Murilo Benício), the local drug boss, has his own claim on the people around her. Carlos Diegues sets the old Greek legend in modern Rio, and Orfeu keeps writing songs for a girl he has barely begun to know.
