Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha

Chandu Chekavar (Mammootty) is an orphan raised in a clan of hired duellers, and he is better with a sword than his cousin Aromal (Suresh Gopi), who makes sure he pays for it. T Hariharan adapts a North Malabar ballad, following Chandu out of his uncle's house to train under Aringodar (Captain Raju), a rival Chekavar. Then both men are hired to fight each other, and Chandu has to choose between the family that raised him and the man who took him in.
