Our Beloved Month of August

Miguel Gomes arrives in the Portuguese mountains in August to shoot a film, and the film he planned keeps slipping away from him. The villages fill with returning families, brass bands and festival crowds, and Tânia (Sónia Bandeira) sings in her father's band while Hélder (Fábio Oliveira) is somewhere nearby. Tânia moves through the heat of the month with the whole summer pressing in around her.
