Our Folks

After the war, two peasant families driven from their lands end up on neighboring farms, and the old quarrel moves in with them. Kazimierz Pawlak (Wacław Kowalski) and Władysław Kargul (Władysław Hańcza) are the heads of the households, and neither will give the other an inch of fence. Sylwester Chęciński fills the village with sons, daughters, neighbors and gossip, and lets the feud play out among them.
