Our Little Sister

“LET’S LIVE TOGETHER, THE FOUR OF US.”

Three sisters in Kamakura travel to a funeral for the father who left them years ago, and there they meet Suzu (Suzu Hirose), the teenaged half-sister they never knew. Sachi (Haruka Ayase), the eldest, makes an offer on the spot: come live with us. Hirokazu Kore-eda follows the four of them through ordinary days, and what the film suggests is that a family gets made by sharing a house and a table.
