Our Time

The marriage works on one understanding: Esther (Natalia López) and Juan (Carlos Reygadas) may love other people, and neither is supposed to mind. Esther runs the ranch in the Mexican countryside where the fighting bulls are raised, while Juan, a celebrated poet, picks which animals to keep. Reygadas lets the ranch fill the frame while Juan finds he cannot stand watching her fall for the American horsebreaker, Phil (Phil Burgers).
