Our Vines Have Tender Grapes
“M-G-M's true-to-life drama”
Fuller Junction, Wisconsin, is a small town of Norwegian farmers, and it is the middle of World War II. Roy Rowland follows young Selma Jacobson (Margaret O'Brien) and her cousin Arnold as they learn how the world works from one season to the next, with her father Martinius (Edward G. Robinson) farming beside them. The film treats the ordinary days of a close-knit town, the chores and neighbors and changing weather, as the things worth holding onto.
