Out Stealing Horses

In November 1999, Trond (Stellan Skarsgård), sixty-seven, has moved somewhere to be alone and plans to see in the new year with nobody. Then he learns his neighbor is a man he knew in 1948, the summer he turned fifteen and his father was getting him ready for a disappearance. Hans Petter Moland moves between the old man and the boy, and the father (Tobias Santelmann) is the one Trond keeps coming back to.
