Reef Hawk (Keanu Reeves), a fading actor, finds himself blackmailed into a public apology tour for past misdeeds he may or may not have committed. His handler, the anxious fixer Ira Slitz (Jonah Hill), drags him through a gauntlet of humiliations and half-truths, each stop more absurd than the last. Jonah Hill frames the spiral with a flat, airless style that makes the machinery of redemption look as hollow as the people running it.
