Outland

“On Jupiter's moon he's the only law.”

Con-3 is a titanium mining colony on Io, a sunless moon where the work goes on in shifts and the air is made indoors. Marshal William T. O'Niel (Sean Connery) arrives for a one-year posting and finds miners dying in strange, violent ways, which pits him against the colony's manager, Mark Sheppard (Peter Boyle), and his crew. Peter Hyams plants a lawman's old stubbornness in a place where the company decides what counts as a death worth looking into.
