“Three brothers. One destiny. Freedom at all costs.”

Saïd (Jamel Debbouze) leaves Algeria with his mother and brothers after the family loses its home in the 1920s, and he wants to make his fortune in the clubs and boxing halls of Pigalle. His brother Messaoud (Roschdy Zem) goes off to fight for the French army in Indochina, while Abdelkader (Sami Bouajila) rises in the independence movement. Rachid Bouchareb follows the three from 1945 to 1962, and each brother's chosen cause now puts the others in danger.
