Overnight Republic

Peker Mengen (Çağlar Çorumlu) wins the mayor's seat in a remote town by promising that the prime minister will visit and the place will become a province. The voters remember, so Peker talks the prime minister into coming and plans a grand welcome with his advisors Hilmi (Mahir İpek) and Bahtiyar (Uğur Bilgin). Murat Kepez plays it with a straight face, and Peker keeps his wife Mualla (Büşra Pekin) close, though she never wanted the marriage.
