Pacarrete

Pacarrete (Marcélia Cartaxo), a grumpy retired dance teacher in the small northeastern Brazilian town of Russas, is chasing one last chance to dance in a spectacle the whole town will turn out to see. Allan Deberton follows her through the daily friction of Russas, where Chiquinha (Zezita Matos) and the neighbors have long since learned to put up with her. The film shows how much a person can want to be seen, and how long that wish can wait.
