Pacifiction

De Roller (Benoît Magimel), the French government's man on Tahiti, wants to keep the peace, and he does it with perfect manners, moving between high society and the shady bars where the locals drink. Albert Serra follows him through the heat in a pale suit, a figure who talks to everyone and tells no one anything. Shannah (Pahoa Mahagafanau) and the visiting Admiral (Marc Susini) circle him while De Roller smiles and keeps his own counsel.
