“Their American dream is bigger than yours.”

Daniel Lugo (Mark Wahlberg), a personal trainer at a Miami gym, decides he deserves the wealth he sees around him and recruits Paul Doyle (Dwayne Johnson) and Adrian Doorbal (Anthony Mackie) to kidnap a rich businessman and extort his assets. What unfolds is a series of escalating crimes, botched plans, and brutal improvisation as the three men spiral deeper into violence and paranoia. Detective Ed DuBois (Ed Harris) closes in.
