Palestine 36

“The uprising that took on an empire.”

Yusuf (Karim Daoud Anaya) is a young man in 1936 Palestine who moves between his family's village and the crowded streets of Jerusalem, wanting a life beyond the unrest spreading around him. Annemarie Jacir sets his restlessness against the villages rising against British rule and Captain Wingate (Robert Aramayo) among the officials holding the Mandate together. Yusuf is still trying to plan a future in a country where every side is closing in.
