Palo Alto

“In every city some seek love, some look for trouble, others look for both.”

April (Emma Roberts) is a shy high schooler in an affluent California town, nursing a crush on her soccer coach Mr. B (James Franco). Gia Coppola, adapting James Franco's short stories, follows her alongside Teddy (Jack Kilmer) and his reckless friend Fred (Nat Wolff) through parties and empty weekends where no parent is paying attention. The longer the drinking and casual hookups go on, the more it costs each of them.
