Pan's Labyrinth

“Innocence has a power evil cannot imagine.”

Ofelia (Ivana Baquero) follows a path into a labyrinth near the mill where her pregnant mother, Carmen (Ariadna Gil), has been sent to live with the cruel Capitán Vidal (Sergi López). Inside, a faun (Doug Jones) tells her she may be a lost princess and gives her three tasks to complete. Guillermo del Toro sets her fear of Vidal beside the housekeeper Mercedes (Maribel Verdú), who looks after the girl and keeps her own secrets.
