Papaya: Love Goddess of the Cannibals

A team of geologists lands on an island to clear out its native population so atomic research can go ahead. The islanders answer through their leader Papaya (Melissa Chimenti), a woman who deals with the outsiders one at a time. Sara (Sirpa Lane) and Vincent (Maurice Poli) are among the party, and Joe D'Amato shoots it on grainy film stock, the summer heat sitting heavy over every scene.
