“Sometimes a stranger makes the best friend.”

Sean (Matt Bomer), a TV weatherman in Los Angeles, wants someone to talk to, and he hires Ernesto (Alejandro Patiño), a middle-aged migrant worker, to do some painting around the house. John Butler sets the two of them in the same rooms for long stretches, with little language between them. Ernesto keeps working while Sean keeps talking, and a man who forecasts the weather for strangers finds out how little he has said to anyone close.
