Papillon

“The greatest escape adventure ever told”

Henri "Papillon" Charrière (Charlie Hunnam), a safecracker from the Parisian underworld, is convicted of a murder he says he never committed and shipped to the penal colony in French Guiana. Michael Noer follows him through the prison system of the 1930s, where the guards are brutal and a rich counterfeiter, Louis Dega (Rami Malek), needs a man who can protect him. Papillon takes the job for the money, and the two men end up with only each other.
