Paradise Alley

“The Carboni Boys. They haul ice, lay out stiffs and dance with monkeys.”

In the slums of Hell's Kitchen in the 1940s, three Italian-American brothers share a tenement and a scheme. Cosmo (Sylvester Stallone) is the talker looking for an angle, and his brother Lenny (Armand Assante) is a con man, while Victor (Lee Canalito), the big one, can take a hit and keep standing. They turn him into a professional wrestler, and Stallone, directing for the first time, shoots the neighborhood with a grainy, lived-in look.
