Paradise: Hope

A summer at a strict diet camp in the Austrian countryside should be nothing but workouts and nutrition classes, yet Melanie (Melanie Lenz), thirteen, is left there while her mother is away in Kenya. Ulrich Seidl sets her among the other girls, with their pillow fights and first cigarettes, and she fixates on the camp's doctor (Joseph Lorenz), forty years older. Melanie believes what she feels is love, and she goes after it with a child's complete seriousness.
