Paris Frills

Philippe Clarence (Raymond Rouleau), a famous Parisian dressmaker, sets out to win Micheline (Micheline Presle), the fiancée of his friend Daniel (Jean Chevrier). He has done this sort of thing before, but this time he means it. Jacques Becker made the film in 1944, under the German occupation, and shows the fashion house at work in the workrooms and fittings, with Philippe somewhere in the middle of it, and he has never wanted anything this much.
