Eighteen short films play out in eighteen arrondissements of Paris, each by a different director, and none of the stories knows the others exist. A tourist (Steve Buscemi) sits in the Tuileries, a cowboy (Willem Dafoe) turns up in Place des Victoires, and a husband is torn between his wife and his lover. Directors from the Coen brothers to Gus Van Sant take a few minutes each to say that love shows up in whatever shape it likes.
