“Street of rogues... reporters... and romance!”

Phineas Mitchell (Gene Evans) is a newspaperman in 1880s New York who sinks everything he has into starting a paper of his own on Park Row. It sells at once, and that brings the anger of a larger rival and its owner, Charity Hackett (Mary Welch). Samuel Fuller, a New York reporter before he made films, shows how stubbornly people will fight over who gets to tell the news and who gets to print it.
