“A (very) independent film”

It is 1986 in New York, and Michael (Richard Ganoung) and Robert (John Bolger), a gay couple in Brooklyn, have one day left before Robert leaves for a work assignment in Africa. Bill Sherwood follows them through the errands and parties of that day, with Nick (Steve Buscemi), Michael's old love, always on the edge of the frame. Nick has AIDS, and Michael is the one who has to decide what he owes him.
