“Protect the ones you love”

Alexander, eleven, is sent out from a sequestered commune on the edge of a crumbling city to do the work Gregori (Vincent Cassel) has trained the children for. The same man who taught them to raise livestock and grow vegetables taught them to kill. Ariel Kleiman's debut keeps the camera at a child's height, and as the new baby changes how Alexander sees Gregori, the mothers and children around them have everything to lose.
