The film opens on the last hours of Pier Paolo Pasolini (Willem Dafoe), and the end of his life is already known to anyone who has read about him. Abel Ferrara follows him through talk with family and friends, a candid interview, a meal with Ninetto Davoli (Riccardo Scamarcio), and a night cruising in his gun-metal gray Alfa Romeo. Pasolini writes through the evening, and his work and his days run into each other until he stops separating them.
