Passing Fancy
In Depression-era Tokyo, Kihachi (Takeshi Sakamoto) is a middle-aged single father raising his young son Tomio (Tomio Aoki) on whatever work he can find. One day he comes across a homeless young woman, Harue (Nobuko Fushimi), and talks a bar owner into taking her in. Yasujirō Ozu tells this as a silent picture, and the last thing in it is Kihachi, a father looking at his boy.
Nobuko Fushimias Harue
