Patiala House

Parghat Singh Kahlon, called Gattu (Akshay Kumar), is a middle-aged shopkeeper who sneaks out at night to bowl, keeping alive a dream of playing cricket for England that he gave up for his father's wish. Nikkhil Advani sets the story inside the Kahlon household, where Bauji (Rishi Kapoor) rules and the family resents what that wish has cost Gattu. They decide to help him chase it and hide the truth from Bauji. Gattu bowls alone in the dark.
