“The Rebel Warrior”

No one in the American command can say what to make of General George S. Patton Jr. (George C. Scott), a tank commander who is brilliant, vain and impossible to keep quiet. The film follows him from North Africa into Germany, with Omar N. Bradley (Karl Malden) watching his temper and his insubordination close at hand. Franklin J. Schaffner treats a soldier built for war as a man who has no place anywhere else.
