“Get ready to root for the bad guy.”

Five months after a heist in a cold, wet city, Porter (Mel Gibson) is back on his feet, shot and left for dead by his wife and his partner, Val Resnick (Gregg Henry). Brian Helgeland, directing for the first time, adapts Richard Stark's novel The Hunter and keeps the story on Porter's trail through the crooked cops and syndicate men in his way. All he asks for is his share of the money, seventy thousand dollars, and he will not take less.
