(2010)Directed by Anusha Rizvi110 min · PGDrama, Comedy

In the village of Peepli, brothers Natha (Omkar Das Manikpuri) and Budhia (Raghubir Yadav) are about to lose their land to debt. Natha announces he will kill himself so his family can claim the farmers' compensation, and word reaches reporters and politicians, who crowd the village to wait. Anusha Rizvi, making her directorial debut, films the satire with a plain eye and lets the cameras crowd the frame.
