(2006)Directed by Mark Palansky104 min · PGFantasy, Comedy, Romance
“A fairytale like no other.”

Penelope Wilhern (Christina Ricci) was born with a pig's snout, the result of a witch's curse on her family, and she wants nothing more than to be loved for who she is. Her mother Jessica (Catherine O'Hara) keeps her hidden inside the family estate, since the curse can only be broken if a man of her own social standing truly loves her. Mark Palansky stages the fairy tale in a storybook house and city, played at a bright, easy comic pitch.
