Penny Pinchers

“Gathered by heart, recycled for love.”

In South Korea in 2011, Ji-woong (Song Joong-ki) has no job and has been lying to his mother for pocket money, until she stops sending it and he ends up homeless. The same day he meets Hong-sil (Han Ye-seul), who deposits her savings at the bank as a hobby and sells empty glass bottles and old newspapers for cash. Kim Jung-hwan follows Hong-sil as a woman who counts every coin, and who now has a penniless stranger on her hands.
