People, Places, Things

Will Henry (Jemaine Clement), a graphic novelist teaching a classroom of college students, wants to stop missing the woman who left him. He is also raising their young twin daughters on his own, and a new romance keeps pulling at him while he tries to let go. Jim Strouse keeps the film in the ordinary days of school pickups and classroom talk, and lets the humor sit alongside the hurt.
