Pepi, Luci, Bom

After a policeman (Félix Rotaeta) assaults Pepi (Carmen Maura), a young heiress, she sets out to get even, and her first move is to befriend his mousy housewife, Luci (Eva Siva). Pepi brings her into a crowd of loud punk friends in Madrid, and Pedro Almodóvar plays the whole thing in his first feature with a deadpan shrug. Luci and Bom (Alaska), the lesbian punk singer, are the pairing that matters.
