“The system failed. She won't.”

In Los Angeles, Riley North (Jennifer Garner) loses her husband and daughter to a drug cartel's gunmen, and the courts let the people responsible walk free. She disappears for years, then returns to hunt them, with Detective Stan Carmichael (John Gallagher Jr.) and the FBI close behind. Pierre Morel keeps her moving, and what stays is a mother with the girl's things still packed away.
