Someone is killing in a city where humans and vampires keep to separate quarters, and the blame is meant to fall on one race or the other. Det. Jones (Scott Wills) and Lilly (Saffron Burrows), a human cop and a vampire cop, share the case. Glenn Standring sets it in an alternate New Zealand of the 1960s, where "separate but equal" is the law, and a peace that depends on that phrase is only as steady as the next body.
