Perfect Strangers

“Everyone has three lives: A public life. A private life... and a secret life.”

Rocco (Marco Giallini) and his wife host a dinner for old friends, and over the evening someone proposes a game: every phone goes face up on the table, and every call and message gets shared out loud. Paolo Genovese keeps the whole film inside one apartment, with Carlotta (Anna Foglietta), Peppe (Giuseppe Battiston) and the others circling the same table. Seven phones lie on the white tablecloth among the plates and wine glasses, each one lighting up now and then.
