“See them all in a film about fantasy. And reality. Vice. And versa.”
Chas (James Fox) is a London gangster who earns his living through violence and intimidation, and he has killed an old friend. To disappear, he takes refuge in the home of Turner (Mick Jagger), a reclusive rock star who has stopped performing, and the two men could not be less alike. Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg, who wrote it and shot it, cut between worlds as if the film itself were running a fever.
