Perrier's Bounty

“Blood is thicker than water. Nothing is thicker than thieves.”

Michael McCrea (Cillian Murphy) owes money to Darren Perrier (Brendan Gleeson), a Dublin gangster, and a night's trouble leaves one of Perrier's men dead. Now Michael, his father Jim (Jim Broadbent) and his friend Brenda (Jodie Whittaker) are on the run through the city with Perrier hunting them. Ian Fitzgibbon calls it an urban western, which is another way of saying a debt is the oldest story there is.
